Stereo Copies are often counterfeited!!!
The most reliable first test is the artist and the title. All original copies have "THE BEATLES" and "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" above the center hole. Counterfeits have the artist and title separated by the center hole.

Covers without George Harrison's shadow are fakes! Covers with red, blue, and yellow printing registration dots visible under the top back cover are fakes.
There are numerous other tests described in Perry Cox's book.

There are 4 major varieties of "Introducing the Beatles" that may be determined from the cover. Within these varieties, the last two have many variations in either cover or label, or both:

1) the "Ad Back" with "Love Me Do" & "P.S. I Love You"
